A simple registration process

Through the partnership between VBM and DNB Carnegie, Icelandic securities (shares or bonds) are held in a nominee account with DNB Carnegie. Through DNB Carnegie, securities can be registered with Euronext Oslo in Oslo and made visible to Nordic and international investors.

Euronext Oslo is a leading marketplace for companies in the energy, shipping, fisheries and salmon farming sectors. This partnership gives Icelandic companies at all stages of growth access to a diverse investor base and can become a key platform for international growth.                                                                                   

LISTING SECURITIES ON EURONEXT

To enable the issuance of Norwegian Depositary Receipts (NDRs) on Euronext Oslo Børs, DNB Carnegie will deposit an equivalent number of shares in Icelandic securities with a custodian bank. These shares will correspond to the number of NDRs issued and will serve as the underlying assets for the Norwegian depositary receipts. The depositary receipts must be listed on one of the recognised listing venues of Euronext Oslo Børs.

This arrangement gives Icelandic securities issuers greater visibility among both Nordic and international investors.

DNB Carnegie will arrange the issuance of Norwegian depositary receipts, liaise with Euronext Oslo Børs and manage their initial distribution. Nordic and international investors will therefore be able to trade Norwegian depositary receipts on Euronext Oslo Børs, backed by Icelandic shares.

This is done by issuing so-called Norwegian Depository Receipts.
